Team Manager - CWD

Salary: £59129 - £62201 per annum
Location: East London

Person Specification:

  • SWE Registration
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Drive and have access to a car
  • Degree level or equivalent in Social Work

About the role:

We are ideally looking for Team Managers who have experience leading a children with disabilities team - they need experience of providing supervision to social workers. We may consider experienced TM's that have managed teams across other disciplines of SW if they have worked cases within CwD, perhaps as a SSW/SW in the past. They can expect to lead a team of up to 6 Social Workers - of mixed experienced level, mixed perm and locum. Caseloads across the service are manageable for a CwD service, and based on SW experience: 19-25 cases per SW.

Please note our DCYPS teams take on all cases with children and families whose lives are influenced by disability - so this could be CiN, CP, LAC, and there might be court work. Managers must be confident providing effective supervision in all of these areas.
