Adult Social Worker - Complex Care - Cheshire - £35-£40 per hour (Locum)

At Connect2Socialwork, we are currently partnering with Halton Borough Council to recruit an experienced Adult Social Worker to join their Complex Care Team on a locum basis.

This role has arisen to support service demand and backlog management, offering a great opportunity for a confident practitioner to step into a busy, supportive team and make an immediate impact.

The role:

You will hold a varied caseload within complex adult social care, supporting individuals with a range of needs while ensuring high-quality, outcome-focused interventions in line with statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Complete Care Act assessments and outcome-focused reviews
  • Undertake Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interest decisions
  • Support safeguarding enquiries (Section 42)
  • Complete CHC checklists and attend MDT/DST meetings
  • Participate in duty rota responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) alongside internal and external partners

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with active Social Work England registration
  • ASYE completed
  • Previous experience within Adult Social Care / Complex Care
  • Strong knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding legislation
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
