Rate: Up to £38 per hour (Umbrella)
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract Length: 6 months (with potential extension)

Role Overview

Connect2Socialwork is recruiting Qualified Adults Social Workers to join a Mental Health Team in Basingstoke. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment delivering high‑quality mental health services.

You will manage a varied caseload, supporting adults with complex mental health needs and promoting recovery, independence, and social inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional support and therapeutic interventions to individuals and families experiencing mental health difficulties, including anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, and substance misuse, using a strengths‑based approach
  • Complete comprehensive assessments (psychosocial, risk, and care needs) to inform decision‑making and support planning
  • Develop, implement, and review person‑centred care plans in collaboration with service users and multidisciplinary teams
  • Undertake crisis intervention, risk management, and safeguarding responsibilities in line with the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Care Act
  • Advocate for service users' rights and coordinate with statutory, community, and voluntary agencies to ensure access to appropriate resources
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions, including one‑to‑one or group work, using evidence‑based approaches such as CBT or DBT
  • Maintain accurate and timely case records in line with professional, legal, and confidentiality standards
  • Support and engage with carers and families, providing emotional support, psychoeducation, and involvement in recovery planning
