Social worker - 16+ Team
Salary:
£38 - £39 per hour

New opportunity for a 16+ team based in North West England!
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of young people aged 16-18 within the Children in Care pathway.
- Undertake statutory visits, reviews, and care planning in line with legislation and local procedures.
- Work collaboratively with Personal Advisors, IROs, education providers, housing, health services, and other professionals to support the transition to independence.
- Ensure young people are prepared for leaving care by promoting their participation in pathway planning and decision-making.
- Carry out comprehensive assessments and prepare court reports as necessary.
- Ensure that safeguarding measures are in place and regularly reviewed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and reports on the local authority's case management system.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with a Social Work England registration.
- Minimum of 2 years post-qualified experience within children's social care, preferably in a CIC or Leaving Care Team.
- 3 years perm experience.
- Strong understanding of the Children Act 1989, Care Planning Regulations, Leaving Care Guidance (2010), and related legislation.
- Experience working specifically with older adolescents (16-18) and supporting their transition into adulthood.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
