SEND Case Officer
Locum SEND Case Officer - Dudley - Remote
We are urgently recruiting Locum SEND Case Officers to support a busy Children's Services team in Dudley. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-structured SEND service on an interim basis.
Details:
- Rate: Up to £250 per day (UMB)
- Contract: Initial interim assignment
- Location: Dudley (Remote)
Role overview:
You will manage a caseload of children and young people undergoing statutory assessment, ensuring all processes are completed within legal timescales and in line with SEND legislation.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage EHCP casework from initial referral through to completion
- Draft and amend Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Liaise closely with schools, parents and multi-agency partners
- Attend and contribute to annual reviews and panels
- Support tribunal preparation where required
- Ensure compliance with statutory timelines and SEND regulations
What we're looking for:
- Strong SEND casework experience within a local authority setting
- Good understanding of statutory assessment processes and EHCPs
- Confident communicator with experience working with parents, schools and professionals
- Ability to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines
