Up to £5,000 annual market premium (subject to eligibility)
Contract: Permanent | Full Time
Hours: 37 hours per week (flexible working options available)
Location: Kent - Various locations | Hybrid working (to be discussed at interview)

About the Role

Kent County Council is seeking Qualified Children's Social Workers to join their Children's Social Work teams across Kent. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive local authority that is committed to achieving the best outcomes for children and families.

You will hold a Children & Families caseload involving assessment, planning, intervention and review, working with children, parents and partner agencies to safeguard and promote children's welfare.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a Children & Families caseload of varying complexity
• Undertake statutory assessments in line with legislative frameworks
• Prepare reports and attend court where required
• Work collaboratively with families, carers and multi‑agency partners
• Maintain accurate and timely case recording
• Embed evidence‑based and systemic approaches to practice

Requirements

• Degree in Social Work (or equivalent)
• Registered with Social Work England
• Experience working within Children & Families Social Care
• Sound knowledge of Child Protection, CIN and LAC frameworks
• Strong assessment, report‑writing and court skills
• Full UK driving licence (reasonable adjustments considered)
