Fostering Social Worker

About the Role:

• Undertake assessments and identify risks to ensure children's safety within kinship care arrangements.
• Develop and review child-centred plans that promote stability, resilience, and long-term wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with kinship carers, extended families, and multi-agency partners.
• Manage a varied caseload, lead on strategy discussions and case conferences, and prepare high‑quality reports for court where necessary.
• Champion positive outcomes and help maintain safe, nurturing family environments.

Requirements

• A recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration
• Experience in Fostering
• Strong analytical, assessment, and report‑writing abilities
• Confidence in risk‑based decision‑making
• A commitment to trauma-informed and relationship‑based practice
• The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
