Community Wellbeing Social Worker - Adults
A leading local authority in Herefordshire is seeking experienced and passionate Community Wellbeing Social Workers to join their Adult Social Care team. The Role
The successful candidate will join a supportive and forward-thinking Community Wellbeing Directorate, working across a diverse caseload that includes:
- Adults with physical disabilities
- Older adults
- Individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting Care Act assessments and support planning using a strengths-based approach
- Working on CHC and Section 117 cases
- Leading Section 42 safeguarding enquiries
- Completing Mental Capacity Assessments and Community DoLS
This role offers regular supervision and the chance to explore specialist practice areas.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be registered with Social Work England
- Hold a recognised qualification in Social Work (Degree, Diploma, C.S.S., or C.Q.S.W.)
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of current adult social care legislation and guidance
- Have experience in person-centred, outcome-focused assessment and care planning
- Be capable of undertaking safeguarding enquiries
- Ideally hold or be willing to work towards qualifications such as Practice Educator, Best Interest Assessor, or AMHP
