Assesment and Child Protection Social Worker

Salary: £40 - £42 per hour

Connect2socialwork are urgently looking for a Social Worker to join their great Assessment and Child protection Social Work Team with a Pay rate up to £42 per hour on a locum basis.

Job description;

    • Managed a complex caseload of Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Looked After Children (LAC) cases, ensuring statutory interventions were completed within required timescales.
    • Completed comprehensive Child and Family Assessments, Risk Assessments, and Parenting Assessments to inform safeguarding plans and decision-making.
    • Led multi-agency safeguarding interventions, working closely with education, health, police, and partner agencies to promote positive outcomes for children.
    • Developed and reviewed Child in Need and Child Protection Plans, ensuring risks were effectively managed and children's needs were met.
    • Prepared high-quality court reports and attended legal proceedings, providing evidence and recommendations to support care planning and permanence decisions.
