Advanced Practitioner

Salary: Up to £42 per annum
Location: Woking

 

I am looking for an Advanced Practitioner to join Surrey's MASH service on a locum basis. Is this the right job for you?

Hourly Rate: £42

What's expected of you:

  • Work in Partnership with Families: Build respectful, collaborative relationships with families, recognising their strengths and supporting them to identify and meet their needs, with informed consent wherever possible.
  • Deliver Strengths-Based, Motivational Practice: Use motivational interviewing and relationship-based approaches to help families understand and change behaviours that may impact their children's development or safety.
  • Conduct High-Quality Assessments and Planning: Undertake thorough, strengths-based assessments and develop SMART plans that address risks and needs, ensuring children's voices are central to all planning.
  • Safeguard Children Effectively: Identify and respond to significant harm or risk through child protection investigations, legal planning, and, where necessary, alternative care arrangements that prioritise stability and sibling relationships.
  • Maintain Professional Standards and Collaborative Practice: Keep accurate records, engage in reflective supervision, and work closely with legal services, partner agencies, and internal teams to ensure integrated, high-quality support for children and families.

What's needed:

  • SWE Registration
  • 3 years PQE worked on a permanent basis within an English Local Authority
  • 4 years + MASH experience
