Commercial Development Manager

Salary: Negotiable
Location: Worcester Park

 

I am hiring for a Commercial Development Manager position which is a public sector full time permanent role and a remote working opportunity. Below is a list of main responsibilities of the role:

  • Own, manage and develop a pipeline of opportunities, from initial engagement to acquisition, through a data based approach, which identifies and validates priorities and timescales for conversion.
  • Provide comprehensive reporting on pipeline progress and personal activity at each stage of the sales cycle.
  • Build extensive knowledge of corporate products, services and solutions, to enable prospective partners and customers to make an informed decision on engagement with the brand.
  • Work with the Commercial Marketing Manager to identify and attend sector specific, regional and national networking forums, conferences and round-table events, to promote the brand.
  • Work with divisional leads and business development teams to provide two-way transparency and engagement co-ordination of pipeline prospects.
  • Work with the Divisional Directors to ensure technical expertise is engaged at the appropriate time, to deliver the highest partner / customer experience and aid optimum pipeline conversions.
  • To retain and develop Exec level relationships, throughout the customer life-cycle. Identify and develop continuous areas for up / cross selling to benefits group divisions.
  • Build and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions within the organisation's key market sectors.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proven experience of pipeline management and prioritisation, from identification to acquisition
  • Management of complex, multi-stake holder sales opportunities
  • Demonstrable track record of delivering results in a targeted environment.
  • Knowledge of the Local Government sector including PCR 2015.
  • Relationship building across multiple layer, up to and including Executive / C-level contacts
  • Creating and delivering presentations to both small and large groups
  • Experience of prioritising prospects to ensure maximum pipeline yield.
  • P&L awareness, to ensure sustainable partnerships are created.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills and attention to detail - at all stakeholder levels
  • Proven experience of excellent presentation
  • Pipeline development with a proven track record of delivering results
  • Proven working experience in strategic sales
  • Data driven thinking. Strong analytical skills, and knows how to apply judgement to quantitative as well as qualitative evidence when making decisions
  • Identifying target audiences and devising approaches that engage, inform and motivate purchase behaviours
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Power Point and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
