Account Manager

Salary: Up to £29000 per annum + £53,000 OTE + car/petrol allowance
Location: South West England

 

Our client, one of the largest suppliers to schools, nurseries, public sector organisations and businesses in the UK, is looking for an Account Manager for their new sales team in the South West.

The Role

They are looking for an enthusiastic and hungry Account Manager to drive future growth by owning and managing a portfolio of customer accounts in Devon. You must be tenacious and have the ability to win new business and opportunities, as well as manage accounts and maximise opportunities. This is an exciting fast-paced role that focuses on volume interactions with schools and academies across a defined territory to effectively account manage and ensure this company is their chosen, trusted supplier.

A key part of the role is to demonstrate why this company is the best supplier that can meet the customer's needs and provide them with value every single day. Their customers are very busy and face tough challenges in their roles, so their ethos is to make their lives easier, save them time and save them money. They are looking for someone special to deliver this promise to their customers and to continually seek new opportunities and leads across their brands.

A fully target driven role based on achieving results through managing a portfolio of Nurseries, Schools and Multi Academy Trusts, KPIs, conversions of visit to sale and new customer acquisition supported with a monthly commission reward package. The role will be consultative, analytical and strategic.

The Candidate

  • Experience in Account Management and winning new business both in person and remotely via phone/virtual meetings is essential
  • Working with a wide range of products and services in a volume-activity business. Experience in managing vastly different propositions from low value to high value products
  • Experience in managing accounts and understanding the customer sales cycle
  • Knowledge of CRM systems
  • Education Market knowledge is preferable but not essential

This is a full-time, permanent position, home based in Devon, with a mix of field visits and over the phone/video selling.
