Meet our new Talent Acquisition Manager!

We’re excited to welcome our new Talent Acquisition Manager to the team here at Connect2Staff! Sarah Lockwood will be working closely with all our divisions in a pursuit to find the best talent for our organisation. We recently grilled her on her plans for C2S, see what they are below…

Q. What will your role be here at Connect2Staff?

Sarah: As Talent Acquisition Manager for C2S, my role will be to solely focus on sourcing and recruiting new, determined and ambitious employees to join our expanding teams. I’ll be responsible for guiding them through the onboarding process and transition into our Connect2Staff family, ensuring they are ready for an exciting and long-term career with us in recruitment!

A lot of my time here will be spent sitting alongside and closely working with each division, learning about their desks, dynamics and team culture, ensuring I can find them new team members that will fit right in and hit the ground running.

Q. What sort of people are you looking for to join Connect2Staff?

I will be recruiting for roles at all levels, from Apprentice to Recruitment Resourcer and all the way up to Business Manager. I am looking for talented recruiters who have the passion and drive to move onwards and upwards in their recruitment careers; a good recruiter will be constantly be looking to build their desks and improve their revenue year on year – so these are the people we want here at Connect2Staff!

We currently have a handful of management opportunities within Connect2Staff and are especially looking for people to support the growth and development of new staff as we continue to expand. There are some exciting times ahead and we want the best people to guide us through them!

Q. How long have you worked in Recruitment for?

I have worked in recruitment for nearly 8 years! I started as an Employment Advisor and worked my way up through the ranks to Talent Acquisition Manager.

Q. What’s your recruitment/career background?

I started off my career by supporting people into work via ‘back to work’ schemes and apprenticeships; this lead me to work for a Travel Recruitment Specialist in London as a Trainee Recruiter. From there I moved on and specialised in charity recruitment roles, being promoted to Senior Consultant and eventually working for Eden Brown nationally as their Talent Acquisition Manager!

Q. What do you love most about your job?

I love the social aspect of my role; I get to meet so many different, inspiring and ambitious people in the industry and have made so many valuable connections. There are so many talented consultants out there - it’s amazing to see how far they have come in their careers, and that I helped some of them to get there! It’s such a satisfying feeling knowing you have helped a company and a candidate to find their perfect matches.

Q. Tell us an interesting fact about yourself

I used to work for a Community Mental Health Team, supporting people with psychosis back to work!
