Meet Alice, our new Education Consultant for our Connect2Staff Education team. She has first-hand experience as a Teacher, so knows exactly what it is they want! We wanted to learn more about Alice's experience, as well as what she does in her spare time. Here is what she had to say;
Tell us about your working background?
After gaining my QTS, I worked as a full-time Primary teacher for 3 years at an Outstanding school in Hertfordshire. I have been working as a Supply teacher since September 2020, having relocated to Kent in April 2020.
What made you want to join the Connect2Staff Education team?
I have been considering a career change for a little while as I wanted a new challenge. Working as a candidate with the Connect2Staff Education team during this academic year gave me an insight into the role as an Education Recruitment Consultant and gaged my interest. I am pleased to be able to use my experience and background in Education to help me succeed in this new role.
What are you most looking forward to about your new role?
I am looking forward to establishing strong relationships with both the candidates and clients. I am excited to be working on the other side of this process as the consultant, helping teachers to find their ideal roles.
How do you find working from home and what is your top tip for home working?
I have not yet had a chance to experience working from home but I will let you know any tips once I’m all set up!
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
I love being sociable and spending time with friends. I am also interested in interior design and am about to embark on a full house renovation, so enjoy finding ideas and inspiration of what I would like our house to eventually look like. Pre-Covid I loved to travel and regularly visit the theatre.
