I love working in Health Care because… CCCU Health Careers Fair

CCCU Health Fair 8th November 2017, I love working in Health Care because…

Our Health Care Team recently exhibited at Canterbury Christ Church University’s Health Care Careers Fair. The team recruit across the UK for permanent and contract roles, within the private, public andhomecare sector. They had a fabulous time down at CCCU, meeting lots of budding and inspiring health care students. We got the students to tell us why they love working in health care for a chance to win a £50 Nandos voucher – and what student doesn’t want free Nandos?!

Here are just a few of the entries…

I love making people smile and laugh :)

-Katie Whittlesea

It is rewarding, challenging and makes you feel you have made a difference to a person’s life.

-Claire Campbell

-Sophie Wesson

It is fulfilling and I enjoy making a difference in people’s lives.

I love making a difference and seeing people smile.

-Lauren Tullett

No two days are the same and I enjoy getting to know people and hearing their stories.

-Louise DePledge

Because of the people you meet, the patients we look after. The rewarding factor of making patients happy and feel better!

-Clodagh Connell

I love the challenges and new experiences every day.

-Alana Speakman-Bell

We whittled down our favourites to the answers below…

I want to contribute something valuable to the human race. I want to be part of the team that save lives and give hope to future generations. I want everyone irrespective of their colour, belief, norms and values to feel valued as a human and accepted. This can only be achievable in healthcare. The human race has suffered and died from simple diseases in the past, but modern healthcare is working hard to preserve lives. I love being part of that team!

-Benedicta Agayi

I enjoy seeing a person get well under my care. Working in healthcare is very fulfilling! Seeing the smile on my patients face is all I need.

-Rebecca Awodele

With the winning entry coming from Student Nurse, Brenda…

I get to be part of a patient’s journey on the road to recovery. Also, no matter how stressful your day gets, at the end of the day if you get to see a patient smile, it makes all the stress go away.

– Brenda Sewanywa, Student Nurse

Congratulations Brenda and we hope you enjoy your prize!
