How the Commonwealth Games inspire me at work

With the Commonwealth Games starting this week on the Gold Coast of Australia, not only does it make me feel like I need a holiday, but also reminds me of my first experience at the EduKent exhibition with Connect2Staff Education, last November.

Not only was it a very valuable way for me to network with various education professionals, Teachers and Heads of School, but I was also lucky enough to meet someone I had admired growing up...keynote speaker at the exhibition, Sir Roger Black. It didn’t fail to bring back fond memories of cheering him on and shouting at the screen for him to win!

Sir Roger Black won 2 Commonwealth Golds in 1986 and is an inspiration for many athletes today; he shows perseverance, hard work and demonstrates how being tenacious will always bring great results.

Specialising in SEN recruitment, these values are something I endeavour to uphold myself, knowing that if I continue to promote similar values of those to Sir Roger Black, my work will continue to make a difference to children’s lives across Kent and the South East.

Thank you for inspiring us Sir Black!!!

If you are looking for a new role in SEN or are looking to recruit an SEN member of staff for your school, please don’t hesitate to contact me on the details below.
