Getting to know people in your field, or in related industries can be beneficial throughout your career. You never know when they may approach you with an exciting opportunity or vice-versa.
Building a strong network means you’ll surround yourself with like-minded professionals who can keep you updated on the latest news, alert you to new roles or provide you with fresh ideas.
4. Use your initiative
One of the best ways to get recognised is by using your initiative and going the extra mile. If you see a job that needs doing, don’t wait to be asked – just do it!

Whether a family member, co-worker or friend, finding someone that can support you and your career goals can work wonders. They’ll not only help you progress, but they’ll be there to motivate you.
And this is a two-way street – you’ll also be there to help them when they need it. Creating a professional but inspiring relationship can be the perfect way to boost your career.
